Do I have to type out my message even if I'm uploading a .wav file or recording my own message instead of using the text-to-speech feature?

You don’t have to, but we recommend it.  When you upload a .wav file, you might want to check what the message said at a later time.  If you type out your message, or just a summary, you can see what the message said on the Message Information tab in the reports.  Or, if you record your own message on our toll-free number, you can use the message text as a script to read while recording your message.
